Product updates that move a grade, not a newsletter of every vendor launch. Chat, work management, and CRM are the field.

  • Slack Work Object Embeds open shared links as live content

On 15 October 2026, Slack launched Work Object Embeds. A link from a supported app or agent opens as live, interactive content inside the thread, on desktop, web, and mobile.

  • Salesforce Service Cloud fall 2026 releases

On 13 October 2026, Salesforce posted the Service Cloud fall releases. The dates that matter for a buyer are a European contact center on 16 October, WhatsApp selling in the thread, RCS in October, and Casey optimization in November.

  • GitHub Copilot just turned Slack and Teams into a path into the repo

On 25 September 2026, GitHub updated Copilot in Slack and Microsoft Teams so a thread can carry more of the conversation into GitHub work. Files, images, and history become context. The last two years did not add a summarizer to the sidebar. They changed the job of chat, work management, and CRM, from a place people talk to a place software can act.

  • Salesforce just made Slack a CRM interface

Mid-September at Dreamforce, Salesforce shipped AIforce: the CRM’s data, workflows, and permissions show up in Slack, Claude, or Lightning. People do not have to open Salesforce to update a record. That changes what workplace chat and CRM mean on the same stack.
