Privacy policy

What we collect

• Quiz answers. When a result page loads we record the answers behind it — company size, industry, current tools, growth plans, cyber posture, budget, and AI and agent appetite — together with the products the grader returned and their grades. Those answers describe a company, not a named person, and we do not ask for your name, email, or employer.
• Link clicks. When you use a try-it-out, demo, or share button we record the label, the destination, the product, and the page you were on.
• Standard server logs. Our host records the usual request data, including IP address, user agent, and the URL requested.
• First-party page views. Each page load records the path, and if a share link added UTM tags we store those too, so we can tell a WhatsApp share from a search visit.
• Google Analytics 4. We count page views and a few actions — starting a quiz, seeing a grade, opening a flyer, sharing, and clicking a try-it-out or demo link. Those events include the product category, the recommended product, a letter grade, the share channel (such as WhatsApp or LinkedIn), and the destination site. We do not add your name or email. A result or flyer link already puts the company profile in the address bar; Google’s own page-view can include that URL. Google sets an analytics cookie and processes that traffic under its terms.

What we do not collect

We do not run advertising pixels and we do not sell data or build a profile that names you. We do record first-party page views (path, optional referrer, and optional UTM tags from share links) so we can see which pages and share channels get used, and Google Analytics 4 measures site use as described above. The only browser storage we set ourselves is sessionStorage, which holds a short key so one result is not recorded twice while you click around. It disappears when you close the tab. Google Analytics sets its own cookie.

Why we collect it

The answers tell us which company profiles the grader sees and whether the method produces sensible results for them, which is how the catalog and the weights get corrected. Click data and page views tell us which recommendations people act on and which share channels send people back. Some of those clicks go to Zenzap, a company we are affiliated with, and may earn us a commission or a sales meeting — the advertising disclosure explains that relationship in full.

Who else sees it

• Our hosting and storage provider runs the site and stores the recorded events on our behalf.
• Google Fonts serves the typeface, so loading a page makes a request to Google.
• Google Analytics receives page views and the funnel events listed above. It does not receive your name or email from us. The page address on a result or flyer can still include the company profile, because that profile is the link itself.
• Products you click through to receive a normal visit from your browser and apply their own privacy policies from that point on. Some links are affiliate links that identify us as the referrer.

We do not otherwise share or sell what we record. We may disclose data if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Recorded quiz and click events are kept while they remain useful for improving the method, and server logs are kept for the retention window our host applies. We delete anything we no longer need.

Your choices

Because we never ask who you are, we usually cannot connect a stored event back to a person. If you believe a specific record relates to you and you want it deleted, or you want to know what we hold, write to privacy@saasgrade.com with enough detail — roughly when you used the site and which answers you gave — for us to find it. Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to the processing of your data, and we honour those requests.

Children

The site is a tool for choosing business software and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of the page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new version.
