Slack vs WhatsApp for work
The argument is rarely “which product is better.” It is whether the team will actually open a work app, and whether the company can still read the messages when someone leaves.

What Slack is for
Slack is built as a workplace: channels, searchable history on paid plans, an app directory, and a way for IT to provision people. It wins when the company already lives in a browser and will pay per seat for that structure.
What WhatsApp is for
WhatsApp is already installed. Frontline, hospitality, and field teams use it because there is no onboarding. It loses when you need company-owned history, offboarding, or a record for a customer complaint.
When the grade flips
A ten-person café on personal phones will usually grade WhatsApp above Slack. A 200-person software company with joiners and leavers every month will not. The quiz weights those facts instead of averaging review sites.
